Be it a gig or a musical. That’s why I love fashion shows by Alexander McQueen and Viktor & Rolf even though the clothes are far from wearable. Their shows are just out of this world…. And this time, Marc is using that ‘theatrical’ reference for his show. In his own way of course!
Yes, there’s Japanese element in it, but I like the fact that it’s not the total Geisha look cliche. Perhaps the belts remind us of how they put on an obi on their kimono. Marc describes his models as ballerinas who had just performed – with their heavily powdered, painted faces.
