Another success story of a brand revival: Carven. It was told that Madame Carven was the first couturier for tennis and skiing. Now, at the helm of Guillaume Henry – previously worked for Givenchy and Paul Ka, Carven is definitely the brand to watch. He offers simple, brilliantly cut, yet girly range. The winter 09/10 collection is superb, it’s like a marriage between Celine and Peter Jensen, with the leather-and-beige’s and the peter pan collars. But the spring 2011 is much more original.
I won’t be surprised if the first two shirts appear in your nearest Topshop… I hope they don’t!
